Ada Payasam
Ada Payasam/ Ada Pradhaman
Ingredients :
- ¾ cup jaggery
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 2 tbsp ghee
- 10 cashew nuts
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup fresh grated coconut
- 10 raisins
- 1 cup ada (ready made)
Method :
Take a saucepan. Add water to it and turn on the heat. When it starts boiling add ada pradhaman to it. Ada pradhaman is rice pasta and I bought it from the Indian store. Cook it until its completely cooked and strain it. Wash it with cold water. Now in another pan, add jaggery with water and boil it until all the jaggery is dissolved. Heat another pan, add ada and dry roast it for 2-3 minutes and then add jaggery syrup to it. Let it cook on low flame till jaggery syrup thickens. Add cardamom and coconut milk on it. Remove from the flame before adding coconut milk. Now in another pan, add ghee and cashews, raisins and grated coconut to it. Cook until golden brown. Transfer the ada mix to a serving bowl and then garnish it with fried cashews, raisins and coconut. Your delicious Ada Pradhaman is ready!!
